How to use HWPX tables to Excel
Extract tables from HWPX documents into separate Excel sheets. Review the text and preserved merged cells before saving.
When to use this tool
A document containing an attendee table and a costs table produces Table 1 and Table 2 sheets. Values are stored as text to preserve their original representation.
Choose files and settings
Choose an HWPX document → Preview extracted tables → Save XLSX with one sheet per table. Keep the original files until you have checked the output.
Before you save
HWP files and image-based tables are not supported. Full document formatting is not copied.
Supported features and limits
Save HWP files as HWPX in Hangul; simply changing the extension does not convert them. Nested tables become separate sheets. Images, equations, fonts, borders, colors, and page layout are not preserved. Merged cells are retained. Empty cells are not filled automatically and totals are not recalculated. Tables split across document sections are not automatically joined.
Check the result
Compare the extracted tables with the original document, including merged cells and nested tables. Convert text cells to numbers only where calculations are needed.
