How to use Resize & compress images

Resize photos, convert their format, and aim for a target file size. Save individual results or download a ZIP.

When to use this tool

Fit a 1200 × 1600 image within 300 × 400 to get a proportional 300 × 400 result. Choose crop or white padding when you need exact dimensions.

Choose files and settings

Choose images → Set size, format, and target KB → Save images or ZIP. Keep the original files until you have checked the output.

Before you save

Target size applies to JPG and WebP. The result shows whether it was reached.

Supported features and limits

JPEG and WebP quality is adjusted toward the target. If it remains too large, reduce pixel dimensions. PNG has no quality-based target-size compression. Center cropping can remove faces or text. Review each result. Images are redrawn, so EXIF and other metadata are not preserved. Input and output support up to 8,000 px per side and 32 million pixels.

Check the result

Open the downloaded image or PDF at full size. Check orientation, cropping, image order, and text legibility.
